While we have no plans to hire any permanent staff in 2016, there are still many opportunities to work with us.
As a volunteer, you can help us with multiple aspects of our various projects. Maybe you could start and run your own unofficial listener’s clubs. Or maybe you can volunteer your time, effort and skills to help out at one of our workshops. There really are no limits to the areas where you can volunteer. If you have a passion for telling stories and believe in the transformative power of radio then drop us a line to find out how you can volunteer.
Your organisation can partner with ARDA using both of our skillsets to achieve development goals. Recently for instance, we partnered with Search for Common Ground (SfCG) on their Niger-Delta project. The aim of the project was to rehabilitate and reintegrate ex-militants in the Niger Delta Area and it had many components, including the use of mass media like printed comics and radio drama. ARDA brought its vast experience in creating compelling stories and producing radio dramas to the table. We benefited from SfCG’s research and contacts while they benefited from our creativity and expertise.
If you’re a student or fresh graduate looking for a bit of experience in development, then maybe an ARDA internship is for you. At ARDA, your work will have meaning; you won’t just be making tea or photocopies. You’ll be involved hands-on and will gain some vital hands-on experience. ARDA’s work is multidisciplinary and all areas of study are welcome to inquire and apply for one of our internships.
